We are now looking for a Technical Specialist in the Network area for our client in central Gothenburg. The role means that you will act as a technical specialist in dialogue with customers and suppliers, and you will define requirements, design, and improve technical solutions as well as drive projects regarding the company's IT infrastructure. It is important that you enjoy close collaboration with your colleagues and that you have an unpretentious approach to your work. About the role

The role suits you who have solid practical experience in the network area and who have also worked in a procurement role with responsibility for defining requirements towards suppliers in IT infrastructure. We are now looking for someone who wants to take the next step and continue to develop in a strategic direction. As a Technical Specialist, you will no longer work operationally with networks but take an overarching, strategic role where you drive development, quality, and direction for our client's IT environment.

You will initially work as a consultant at Nexer Infrastructure and then transition to employment with our client. 

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical expert in networks, infrastructure, and platform services
• Define requirements and act as a purchaser towards suppliers
• Identify and solve complex technical challenges in collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and improvement of systems and solutions
• Support monitoring, log management, and capacity planning
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure robust and reliable solutions
• Document work and promote knowledge sharing within the team
• Stay updated on new technologies and drive improvement proposals

We would like you to

• Have several years of documented experience working in networks
• Have worked in a procurement role with clear requirement definitions towards suppliers in IT infrastructure and networks
• Have experience in operation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure, firewalls, WLAN, switches, and routers, as well as network monitoring and troubleshooting 
• Have knowledge of Windows or Linux server
• Communicate fluently in English, both spoken and written
